Supporting Documents to Apply for a Japan Visa from Oman
When applying for a Japanese visa from Oman, you are required to attach supporting documents along with your application form. Document requirements may vary depending on the applicant’s nationality and visa type. Below are the compulsory supporting documents for general applications:
Original Passport
Must be valid for at least 6 months, not older than 10 years, and should have at least 2 blank pages.
Visa Application Form
A fully filled Japan visa application form. Our visa expert will assist you in completing the form.
Residence Visa
You must have a valid Oman residence visa with at least 3 months of validity.
Passport Size Photographs
Two recent photographs (not older than 6 months) with a white background.
Oman ID
Submit the original and valid Oman ID.
Bank Statement
Submit an original or a copy of the bank statement with the bank stamp. The statement should not be older than 3 months.
Flight Tickets
Provide a copy of your round-trip flight tickets to and from Japan.
Proof of Current Address
Submit utility bills such as Omantel or Ooredoo bills, water, or electricity bills.
Accommodation Proof
Provide documents confirming your accommodation details in Japan.
Original No Objection Certificate (NOC)
A letter from your employer detailing your designation, monthly salary, and date of employment. This letter should include a company stamp and clearly state the employer’s no objection to your travel.
Japan Tourist Visa Documents Needed
Visa Procedures for Tourist Visa (For Tourism Only)

Required Documents:
- Original passport valid for the period of stay in Japan and with two blank pages.
- One 45mm×35mm photo on glossy paper with a plain background.
– Taken within the last 6 months
– Head size must exceed 30mm or 70% of the total height of the picture.
- One filled visa application form (available at the visa section).
– For nationals of Russia, CIS countries, Ukraine or Georgia, submit 2 application forms with photos.
- Original valid Oman Residential Card.
– Provide proof of renewal if it expires before or during your trip.
- Flight itinerary/reservation with entry/departure date between Japan and Oman.
– Must include the visa applicant’s name and dates. A reservation is required, but ticket purchase is not necessary until visa approval.
- Certificate of employment from your workplace.
– Must state your position and monthly salary.
- Bank statement for the last six months, stamped by the bank.
– Account name, daily transactions, and balance must be visible.
- Hotel booking (with address and telephone number of accommodation in Japan).
– Booking required but no need to purchase; not responsible for cancellation fees due to visa delays or denial.
- Travel itinerary.
– Detailed plan including dates, main activities, locations, reachable contact number in Japan, and accommodations.
Japan Business Visa Documents Needed

a. Name and position of the applicant
b. Type of business
c. Name & address of the company in Japan the applicant intends to meet
d. Confirmation that your company in Oman will bear the costs of the journey in Japan (air ticket, stay, etc.)
*If the Japanese company will bear costs, a guarantee letter from them is required.
