Documentation Required for a Spain Visa from Oman
1. Visa Application Form
The first document you should submit when applying for a Spain visa is a dully filled and signed application form. You should ensure you fill it with correct details as any mistake can result in your Spain visa application being denied.
2. Passport
The passport you submit should:
- Be valid for at least three months after the intended departure date from the Schengen area.
- Have your signature and at least two sequent blank pages.
- Have been issued within the last ten years.
- Be the original passport and have a copy of all relevant passport pages, including the data page.
3. Oman Residence Permit
Oman residents applying for the Spain visa must produce their residence permit which should be valid for at least three months after the planned departure from the Schengen zone.
4. Photographs
The photographs should be:
- Recent two colored photos that adhere to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.
- Taken within the past six months.
- 35x45mm in size capturing a close-up of your head and the top of your shoulders.
- Taken against a plain, light-colored background, preferably white, with uniform lighting.
- Showing clearly visible facial contours, with eyes and features unobstructed.
- Looking directly at the camera with a neutral facial expression, mouth closed, and open eyes.
- Without sunglasses, tinted glasses, or colored contact lenses.
5. Cover Letter
Curate a cover letter clearly stating the purpose of your visit to Spain and mention the details of your travel itinerary.
6. Travel Insurance
It is mandatory to have travel health insurance that covers medical emergencies for up to 30,000 Euros within Spain and other Schengen countries.
7. Flight Itinerary
You need to present proof of booked roundtrip flight tickets showing the exact entry and departure dates from the Schengen zone.
8. Proof of Accommodation
Some of the documents you can submit as proof that you have arranged accommodation in Spain include:
- Hotel Reservation
- Invitation letter — if you will be hosted by friends or relatives living in Spain
- Rental Agreement, if you will be renting a place of stay while in Spain
9. Proof of Enough Finances
You need to provide documents such as three months’ bank statements to prove that you can afford your stay in Spain and the Schengen zone.
10. Civil Status Documents
You can submit documents such as birth certificate, a marriage license, ration card, or a death certificate of a spouse to verify your civil status.
Additional Documents Based on Your Employment Status
Employed:
- Employment contract
- NOC letter mentioning your salary, job title, and contract length
- Bank statement for the last three months
- Income tax return, if applicable
- Original bank slips
Self-Employed:
- Copy of business trade license
- Company/Business bank statement for the last six months
- Company’s Income tax return
- NOC from a business partner if it’s a partnership
Patient:
- Certificate from your local clinic confirming the diagnosis and need for treatment
- Invitation letter from a Spain based hospital clearly stating the length of treatment
- Confirmation from the hospital that payment dues have been settled
Retired:
- Proof of pension, such as a pension book or bank statement for the last six months
Sponsored:
- Sponsorship letter
- Copy of sponsor’s national I.D. or Resident permit
- Updated bank statement for the last six months
Minor Applicants:
- Birth certificate
- Copies of travel documents for both parents
- Spain Visa application form signed by both parents
- Family court authorization if one parent has custody of the child
- NOC Letter from both parents if the child is traveling alone
