Required Documents for Switzerland Visit Visa from Oman

When submitting your visa application to the Swiss Embassy, ensure the following documents are included:

Application Form

Submit a filled and signed visa application form.

If the applicant is below 18 years of age, both parents must sign the form and attach their passport copies. If one parent is unable to sign, provide a letter of consent along with a passport copy.

Two Recent Passport-Sized Photographs

The photos must meet the following requirements:

Not older than 6 months
Light background
Not stapled
No head or face covering (except for religious purposes)
Full visibility of facial features
Size: 3.5 x 4.5 cm

Original Passport

The passport should:

Have at least 2 blank pages
Be issued within the last 10 years
Be valid for at least 6 months after your return date
Include a copy of the data page, pages with previous Schengen visas, and Oman residence permit

Proof of Financial Means

Provide your personal bank statements to demonstrate that you can afford your trip and stay in Switzerland.

Employer Letter

If employed, submit an original letter from your employer on company letterhead, which includes:

Your job description and position
Joining date and salary
Duration of leave and expected return date
Company must guarantee your return

The letter must be signed and stamped. Electronic signatures are accepted. The applicant may not sign their own letter.

Travel Insurance

Submit a travel insurance certificate covering:

Entire Schengen area
Medical emergencies, repatriation, or death
Minimum coverage: EUR 30,000

Proof of Accommodation

Provide hotel reservations, rental contracts, or a letter of invitation if staying with a host.

Flight Ticket

Submit a copy of your round-trip flight reservation, including return flight confirmation.

Oman Residence Permit

Must be valid for at least one month after your intended departure from Switzerland.

Additional Requirements for Minors

If the applicant is under 18 and traveling without a parent or legal guardian:

Submit an original authorization letter signed by both parents/legal guardian
Include a copy of the parents’ or guardian’s passports
